弊社スタッフ : 板金部門部長の角貝。彼は今、ガソリンタンクを製作致しております。今回のタンクは全くのゼロベースからの製作となりますので、数あるボディーワーク系の板金作業では一番難儀する仕事です。まずは型紙より鉄板を切り出し、それを専門の板金ハンマーで叩きながら、切り出した鉄板を左右同じ形状に整えて行く訳であります。弊社の場合は、現在もあえてタンクの型となる、例えば木型と云う様なモノは用意致しておりません。型に頼らず、職人として勘と感性をより磨いて欲しいからでありまして… それは険しい道程でありますが、私、スタッフ共々、共に成長をはかって行きたいと願っております。

Staff: Mr. Kakukai, head of the Sheet Metal Division. He is currently working on producing gastank. Since tank is being made from scratch, this will be the most difficult among all our body work-type jobs. First, the sheet metal is cut out into the required flat pattern. Then, our proprietary hammer is used to form the left and right side of the extracted sheet into a symmetric shape. In our company, we try to not use any molds for tank, wooden or otherwise. Instead of relying on molds, we want our employees to improve their intuition and sharpen their senses. Despite the rough road ahead, I hope that, working together with the staff, we can successfully deliver growth and prosperity.
